And it speaks to the game's quality and variety that I was never once bored with it. Turns out it's like a 20 hour game, which is extremely long for a balls to the wall action game. It's funny to think back on people being worried about the game being too short, because Kamiya had said it could be beaten in a single day. It felt like I got to play an actual Saturday morning cartoon show that I grew up watching.

All of the protagonists are full personality, and the game is quite funny at times. The game is so full of charm with everything it does, from the cute puzzles and ridiculous 'mini' games that utilized the Wii U's second screen quite well for the most part in my opinion. It has a sense of scale with these giant aliens and outter space and these massive weapons you morph into with your 101 little warriors that their other games couldn't quite match. The action is just so crazy and over the top, I think moreso than any other of their titles. Which game is your favorite? For me it's The Wonderful 101. When Platinum is at their best, they absolutely kill it, and many of their titles are among the best pure action games ever created in my opinion. Is that not a list of extremely high badass action games or what? And all released within a 10 year period (2009-2019). I know a lot of people are worried about the state of Platinum right now with Bayonetta 3 still a no show (though maybe our suffering will end tomorrow) and Babylon's Fall looking iffy.
